What is Royal Jelly?
Royal Jelly is a natural substance from the bee hive that has been used by people throughout the world for energy, stamina, and vitality. Royal Jelly is composed of trace amounts of many wonderful nutrients and nutritious, biologically active, compounds. Some of the naturally occurring nutrients in Royal Jelly are:
- B complex vitamins
- amino acids (building blocks of protein)
- minerals like calcium, magnesium, potassium, and zinc
- lipids, including fatty acids and phospholipids
- peptides
- carbohydrates (monosaccharides and disaccharides)
- nucleic acids
- 10-HDA (a compound unique to Royal Jelly)
We believe all these nutrients, along with the other elements of Royal Jelly are in perfect balance because they are naturally occurring, the way nature intended.
One of the reasons Royal Jelly is so precious is it can't be duplicated in a laboratory; it can only be hand harvested from beehives. Why is fresh better?
Bee-Alive Royal Jelly is as close to nature as possible. Freeze-drying removes all the moisture from the product, thereby reducing it to a crystallized powder. By taking out this significant amount of moisture, we believe you are compromising the quality of Royal Jelly. And, it has been shown that freeze-drying contributes to the degradation of Royal Jelly over time. Royal Jelly is a very delicate substance and needs to be handled with care.
